Medi-Cal, Cal Optima, Magellan, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Optum/ United Behavioral Health and private pay. 

​Health insurance coverage is mandated to pay for ABA/ Autism treatment for individuals living with autism and other related disorders due to the passing of SB946 in July 2012. ABA is the only treatment option with empirical research and proven success for Autism spectrum disorders. If your child is diagnosed with Autism get involved with the insurance process as soon as possible.

Where to Start

The key to insurance coverage for ABA Therapy is a current documented diagnosis from an MD, PhD or PsyD, Licensed Psychologist or Neurologist and in some cases a prescription for ABA treatment. If your diagnostic report is over 2 years old a recommendation/prescription for ABA services may be required by your insurance.
